About Liz

I didn't take the obvious path to birth work (does anyone?).

I'm a native Texan with a master's degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics. I moved to Austin with big ideas about changing the world, landed in tech instead, and spent a few years being pretty good at something that didn't light me up.

When I burnt out, I went looking for what actually filled my cup. I found myself creeping the Instagrams of birth doulas genuinely just thinking it looked cool, and something clicked. I started volunteering with GALS (Giving Austin Labor Support) with almost no idea what birth actually involved. My first few births absolutely floored me.

What got me wasn't the birth itself. It was the transformation. Watching a couple become a family. A person step into parenthood for the first time. The version of themselves they didn't know yet, arriving in that room. I was hooked. I quit my job and never looked back.

That was 120+ births ago.

I bring the same values to every birth: bodily autonomy, informed consent, and the belief that every person deserves real support, not just managed care. I'm evidence-based, honest, and I will make you feel held when things get intense.

I live in central Austin with my husband, two kids, two dogs, and an orange cat who has no interest in any of it.

If any of this sounds like what you're looking for, I'd love to meet you!

As a first-time mom, I felt confident in Liz's evidence-based approach and her knowledge of spinning babies and massage techniques. Liz is professional, cheerful and altogether personable. She found ways to include my husband during pregnancy and in the hospital during the birth of our son. Together they made an awesome team who helped me execute my birth plan with minimal interventions despite having to be induced at 37 weeks. We have much love for Liz in our household and would definitely recommend her services to expecting parents.

Liz is fantastic! She gave me the best experience i could have asked for.  She stopped whatever she was doing just to keep me company at the beginning.  I was a vba2c and she was aware that i needed to be at the hospital as soon as contractions started , even if the contractions were 10 minutes apart.  She wanted to experience what i have tried to experience since my first child with me.  She gave me companionship,  emotional support,  physical and as well as mental support. She has the biggest heart i have ever encountered.  I truly encourage anyone looking for a doula to pick Liz.
